The sun comes up on opening day of dove season at the dove lease near Wagoner.

We brought Sheba dove hunting one day and kept her chained to a brick so she wouldn't run off. We decided she was still too crazy to be helpful in the field.

We shot a few doves, but dove season wasn't that great this year.

Eventually the fellas got enough doves for at least one meal. They're small, so we need a lot of them.

Going home. Sheba is enjoying the ride.

Opening day of duck season in Fall, 2008. Joey brought home ducks given to him by hunters from several blinds. 45 ducks altogether. Whew! What a job to clean!

Dave examines some teal.

Dave laughs at the ones with their tongues hanging out.

Hummm... that doesn't seem right.

What a pile!

Several birds from another hunt.

Joey got two hooded mergansers.

Hey! Mom says 'no feathers in the house!"

This was Dad's Christmas present from 2007. It now graces the blind out near Wagoner.

A mallard and some gadwall on one of the days we hunted the blind.

Dave and Dad killed several ringnecks one day.

We followed the ringnecks with four Canadian gesse. Dave got three on three shots, and Dad got one.

Ten ringnecks and four Canadian geese. An excellent hunt!

Dave was so excited about shooting 3 geese. He called home and excitedly said, "Mom!" For a nanosecond, Judy thought he had shot Geof. Dave said he was so excited, he was shaking!

Dave was impressed with the pile of feathers left from the geese and ducks.

These are decoys at the blind near Wagoner in January of 2008. The cold weather brought in lots of ducks, especially mallards, and we had a good end to last year's hunting season.

Dave shot this woodcock one day while duck hunting.

Joey built a boat for the pond. This one was so heavy, we could hardly carry it!

Out on a beautiful day at the blind in January, 2008.

Ed Wortham brought his dog, Abby, this particular day to hunt with us. We go down to Webber Falls with him often.

Abby peeks out of the dog box.

Ed brought this floating robo-duck.

Abby looks for a bird.

Dave is getting tired.

Joey with a mallard hen.

Ice on the pond in January of 2008. We had to break up ice on several occasions.

Three mallards.

Joey and Dave took Jeff Black out to the blind near Wagoner in December of 2008, and they had a good day.

Joey got three geese himself.
