As usual, Judy cooked up some fabulous stuff again this year. She is making "Grandma's Rolls", but Dave changed the title in her recipe book to "Mom's Rolls"!

Ocassionally, we actually find some crawfish at the Chinese food store in town. When we do, we often buy as many as we can get and have a crawfish boil. That day, we also boiled up some crab. We miss this from Louisiana!
Wow! Can't wait to dig in.

Not much left.

This is crawfish stuffed chicken breasts in a mushroom cream sauce. One of Geof's favorite dishes that Judy cooks.

Judy took a series of pictures to instruct a friend how to make sweet and sour chicken. Here, she begins by slicing the carrots. She slices carrots on the diagonal because they're prettier that way.
Next comes the cut-up chicken breasts in the egg mixture.

Add in flour and stir. Using chopsticks, of course.

The finished product - very tasty indeed.

Melon wrapped with prosciutto for appetizers. Judy had seen this in Granada, where they have wonderful tapas. Davey said, "I wasn't sure about meat and fruit, but this is good!"
Chicken Normandy. WOW! It's chicken with apples and bacon in an apple brandy, cream sauce.

Judy wanted to make dumplings, but is dumpling folding challenged. The little dumpling press was sent to her by her sister Susan from New York. These are filled with pork and napa cabbage, and can be fried, steamed, or cooked in the traditional 'pot sticker' way.

A little filling in the skins.

Close the press, and presto! Beautifully made.
These are dove breasts in a mushroom gravy. Indescribably delicious!

Cookies with a mint flavored decoration. Davey made the smiley face.

Geof is carving a rib roast Judy made.

Filet mignon crusted with coarsely ground pepper and seared, waiting for a cream sauce made with brandy.

Add a little brandy and whoosh!

The cream sauce goes on the filets and you have steak au poivre.

Thanksgiving dinner ready to go in 2007. We are truly blessed.
The turkey is a beautiful thing!
