My friend, Andra Loy, was expecting her first son. Since Andra and her husband, Justin, live in Brno, in the Czech Republic, we gave her a shower in absentia.

Terry Presson and Sandra Johnson are two of the ladies who organized this shower.

The husbands spent the day before helping with the decorations and setup.

The baby's gifts were brought unwrapped to the shower. We wrapped them in tissue paper to minimize the weight and shipped them to Andra.

Judy was taking videos of the shower to prepare a DVD for Justin and Andra. Here she is with Elaine Fulbright, Lisa Averitt and her daughters, Tori and Dani.

Emily and Kate Coffey wear cute Christmas dresses that I gave them at Emily's baby shower last year. Aren't they the cutest little children?

Judy wanted to help some ladies learn to use the computer, so we set up computers in our formal dining room. Geof put up a screen, tables and computers for six ladies to take computer lessions from Judy.

This is one of Judy's favorite shirts. On the front, it says, "CTRL - ALT - DEL". This is a view of the back. According to this, Judy must be... divine!

Here's a view of how the whole room was set up. About 15 of Judy's friends came to the classes, offered on three separate days. The course ran for 6 weeks.

A couple of the ladies are getting instructions from Judy. We were learning about digital images and cameras, starting from "What is a pixel?" to "How do I get my pictures outta there??"

Paula Johnson concentrates on the lession.

Laurie Dwyer is taking some pictures to test out the camera connection to a PC. We used a bunch of cameras with a bunch of different memory cards, so I'm sure the ladies are all confused now.

Charlie and Susan Biggs invited our family to go to Discoveryland. Here are both families headed into the show.

We all enjoyed a barbecue dinner together.

There were several things to do while waiting for the show to start after dinner. Here, Sarah Biggs rides a pony.

They use real horses in the show.

My friend, Lori, was expecting her daughter, so I threw a shower for her. On the right is Suzanna Fitzgerald, who was expecting her daughter about the same time.

Lori's many friends and family attended, including her mom, Jeri, who is pictured here with her eyes closed. We are not good photographers.

Wow. Another pregnant lady! This is Julie, Lori's neighbor. Her son was born about the same time as Zoë.

Paula Johnson and Kay Weber, two incredibly talented ladies, made petit fours for Lori's shower. Paula and Kay usually specialize in elaborately decorated cakes, but took the opportunity to try their hand at something different.

My house is not big enough (!) to hold all of Lori's friends. Mindy Jones, Kay Fulbright, and Laurie Luetjen were gracious enough to sit on chairs in the living room.
