Geof's Aunt Betty and cousin Stu visited in the summer near the Fourth of July holiday and one thing we did was to visit the new aquarium in Jenks which is just across the Arkansas River from Tulsa. Judy went on a Bible Study Fellowship Leaders' Retreat in Kansas City in February. On the way home, they were caught in a bad snow storm, so they had to spend the night. Here is a video of the ladies acting like girls at a slumber party.
It may seem funny to have a Christmas movie from the previous year in this year's CD, but the CD is published before Christmas and we never get Christmas pictures in the CD unless we include the ones from last year. David's team from last year, the Rockies, which didn't win a single game was folded, the players were broken up, and David was placed on a new team, the Diamondbacks. He got to pitch a little and was an excellent player.
David won honorable mention for his science project on pendulums. Here he is receiving his award. David is a straight "A" student. Joey and Dad were invited to go with Ed Wortham to Weber Falls again this year to duck hunt. We killed several birds this year and had a great time again.
On the Jacoby farm where we dove hunt, there are several stocked ponds where we get to fish. Listen to Teddy Jacoby in this clip to get an idea of the accent Judy often describes. Judy was at a meeting in Hawaii in January, and Geof flew over for the weekend. We had a wonderful time even though the visit was short.
Helen, Judy's sister, always has a family get-together when we visit. Most of Judy's brothers and sisters were there this year with all the cousins. We had a wonderful time. Jerry continues to play baseball seriously. As a sophomore, he generally threw fastballs at 80 mph. His hitting is coming along so well that he generally is DH when he was not pitching or playing 3rd base.
Joey's flute and piccolo playing is very good. It's almost impossible to get a picture of him while he's playing, but Dad tried. Joey moved up from Little League to Junior League this year and was assigned to the Orioles coached by Rusty Hampton. Joey had never pitched a single pitch in a game until this year.
Vlado and Milé Kanazirev and their son, Ivo, are in this clip out and about a few places in New York City during our visit there last summer. We're walking through Little Italy and Chinatown. Geof and Judy attended the American Institute of Chemical Engineers in San Francisco this year. Judy sat on a panel discussion regarding women in engineering at the meeting.
The family travelled to St. Louis over a weekend to see Dave Koz in concert. We saw the Clydesdales at Grant's farm and visited the famous arch among other things.
