St. Louis 2003

We took a trip to St. Louis in October to hear Dave Koz in concert. We also took in some of the sights of St. Louis. These photos were taken at Grant's Farm.
This is a cabin that President Grant built for his wife. The entire farm was decorated for Halloween. There were all sorts of animals at this place.
They had silly grave stones there. We took this picture for Aunt Betty.
Dave being .... Dave. We went to Grant's Farm to see the Clydesdales.
Jerry being ..... Jerry.
Dave took this photo of the arch. We went up to the top of the arch. The 'tram' that took us to the top was an interesting piece of engineering! It was like entering a space capsule. Don't do it if you are claustrophobic. This is a photo taken from the top.
We thought this was a neat photo -- seeing the shadow of the arch from the window looking down on the river. On the way home, we stopped at the Meramec Caverns. Dave was studying about caves in school.
Jesse James used this cave as a hideout, so they put these figures where they think he was hiding.

We couldn't resist taking this photo. "Golly! In Missouri, they store their bourbon in water towers!"
