Hunting 2001

We are doing a lot of dove hunting in Oklahoma. We have leased a field for dove hunting out near Waggoner on a farmer's land named Teddy Jacoby. Sometimes we do good, sometimes we do bad, but we have a lot of fun learning to shoot and be sportsmen. We also have a bible study friend named Ed Wortham who is taking us duck hunting in the Muskogee area at a public site called Webber Falls. We are having a tremendously good time doing this. Here a some pictures from several different dove hunts:

When Jerry and Dad went duck hunting with Ed Wortham, Ed killed a good-sized Canadian Goose, and gave it to Geof. Judy roasted it and it was truly delicious:

We like to go skeet shooting at the Tulsa Gun club up near the Tulsa airport to warm up for hunting season:

A really special trip was for teal season. Joey and Dad went with Ed Wortham to Webber Falls, but there are no blinds this time of year, so we hunted from the reeds. We did pretty well with seven teal, and Joey shot a pair from one flock. We would have never found them in the reeds if it wasn't for Haika the German Shorthair retriever.
